Rebecca Mathews
Rebecca Mathews is a Conroe ISD graduate with 25 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer. She is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Texas and a Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer. She graduated from Texas Christian University in 2000 with a Kinesiology degree in Movement Science and an Athletic Training endorsement. Upon graduation, she returned to Conroe ISD where she has spent the entirety of her career. She provided medical coverage at Conroe High for 13 years. She is entering her 13th year at Oak Ridge where she is now the Lead Athletic Trainer.
During her career, she has been fortunate enough to receive several awards. These include the 2005 Texas High School Coaches Association Trainer of the Year Award, the Montgomery County Hospital District Lifesaving Award, and the Greater Houston Athletic Trainers Society Meritorious Award. She is also a lifetime member of the Montgomery County Fair Association and active in her church.
She and her husband are both Conroe ISD employees and are happy to follow in the footsteps of her mother, sister, aunts, and grandmother who were also all CISD teachers and administrators. They are also the proud parents of 2 daughters. When she isn’t taking care of ORHS athletes, Mrs. Mathews enjoys reading, hiking, and enjoying time with family.
