Coach Chancellor has been coaching girls' basketball and Track for 35 Years. I am thrilled to be a pivotal member of the coaching staff, here at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe ISD, and I am passionate about inspiring student-athletes through The Texas Way- Respect for others, Control of self, and Spirit of competition. John has a B.S. in Recreation from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!). He was the video coordinator and scout for the 2004 Team USA Women’s Gold medal-winning basketball team. He coached back-to-back NWBL professional basketball championship teams (Houston Stealth) and served as an assistant video scout for the WNBA's Houston Comets. He coached the State runner-up in Girls’ basketball in 1992 and Track from 1990 to 1993 for MPSA Winston Academy. 

When I am not coaching our War Eagles, you can find me enjoying going to the movies, woodworking, playing golf or spending quality time with family.
