Coach Chancellor has been coaching Girls Basketball and Track for 35 Years. I am thrilled to be a pivotal member of the coaching staff, here at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe ISD and I am passionate about inspiring student-athletes through The Texas Way- Respect for others, Control of self, and Spirit of competition. John has a B.S. in Recreation from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!). He was the video coordinator and scout for the 2004 Team USA Women’s Gold medal winning basketball team. He coached back-to-back NWBL professional basketball championship teams (Houston Stealth) and was an assistant video scout for the WNBA Houston Comets. He coached the State runner up in Girl’s basketball 1992 and Track 1990-1993 for MPSA Winston Academy. 

When I am not coaching our War Eagles, you can find me enjoying going to the movies, woodworking, playing golf or spending quality time with family.
