Sarah Stowell
We’re proud to have Coach Sarah Stowell on staff, bringing 20 years of coaching experience and a strong commitment to student-athlete development. A Louisiana native, Coach Stowell played softball as a second baseman and catcher at both the junior college and NCAA Division I levels, graduating from Northwestern State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Coach Stowell has been a valued part of the Oak Ridge High School coaching staff for the past five years, serving as a softball assistant under Coach Stephani Rougeau and a cross-country assistant under Coach Kristina Dube. Before joining the War Eagle family, she coached at Klein Forest High School, where she gained extensive experience as an assistant coach in softball, cross country, and track & field.
Throughout her career, Coach Stowell has helped guide athletes to outstanding achievements, including: 3 District Championships, 4 Bi-District Championships, Area and Regional Quarterfinal Championships in Softball and multiple District, Regional, and State Finalists in Cross Country and Track & Field
When she’s not on the field, Coach Stowell enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake or beach, fishing and hunting with her dad and brothers, and staying active with kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and running. In the fall and winter, she loves nothing more than cooking up a big pot of gumbo, sharing it with loved ones, and cheering on her favorite team — LSU.
