Coach Murrell is a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and has been at Oak Ridge High School since 2020. Coach Murrell is a vital member of of our athletic training staff and he looks forward to watching our student athletes excel on and off the playing field.

As a proud 2015 graduate of CISD, Coach Murrell attended College Park High School. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness and Human Performance, earning his degree in December of 2019. During his time at SFASU, he was a Student Athletic Trainer, where he worked with the following teams: the Lumberjack Football team, Lumberjack and Ladyjack Track & Field teams, as well as the Ladyjack Tennis team.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. He will be getting married this March to his wonderful fiancé who is also a CISD teacher. He has 1 son who loves to come out and support the War Eagles!
