Olivia VanHook
A native of Brenham, Texas, Coach Olivia Van Hook brings a strong background in athletics and leadership to Oak Ridge High School. She played collegiate softball for four years and holds both a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sport Science and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University.
Coach Van Hook spent four successful years coaching at Texas Lutheran University, where she was part of a National Championship win in 2019 and helped guide the team to three National Tournament appearances. Her accomplishments earned her recognition as the NFCA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2022.
Most recently, she spent three years at Brenham High School, contributing to both the softball, volleyball, and cross country programs. Now in her first year at Oak Ridge High School, Coach Van Hook is excited to build relationships and continue the proud tradition of War Eagle athletics.
Coaching runs in the Van Hook family. Her father, Kyle Van Hook, recently retired as a Major League Baseball Scout for the Minnesota Twins, and her brother, Clay Van Hook, currently serves as the Associate Head Baseball Coach at Rice University.
