Coach Purnell is entering his 3rd year coaching basketball and also coaches track and field. This is his first year at the high school level serving as the Freshman Coach and a Varsity Assistant Coach. He brings a passion for helping student athletes build traits essential to success in life and in athletics. 

Coach Purnell earned his bachelors degree in Psychology from Oral Roberts University in 2019. During his time at Oral Roberts, he competed on the track and field team with success. He attended high school in Silver Springs Maryland and graduated in 2015. 

Coach is excited to be a part of the Oak Ridge community and what will be achieved this year.
